After the pastoral visit of His Beatitude Patriarch Mar Louis Raphael I Sako to the Chaldean Archdiocese of Beirut and the great reception and other pastoral visits, His Beatitude addressed the following letter to the diocese :
To His Excellency highly respected Bishop Michel Kassarji
To the beloved fathers priests and sisters nuns
To our daughters and sons of the Chaldean Church in the Diocese of the beloved Beirut
“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 1:2)
Still the echo of my pastoral visit to you is ringing in my heart sentimentally. I thank your Reverend Bishop Mar Michel Kassarji and his team on the prestigious preparation and your worktop show the face of your ‘Martyr and Witness’ Apostolic Chaldean church.
I address you hoping that you will be as the first Christian community where “The whole group of believers was united, heart and soul” (Acts 4:32). Establish strong unity and partnership among you because it is testimony that reflects your faith, because if faith is not reflected in our daily actions then there is no benefit of it. Let your head be held high always through your belief, your witness, your confidence and your hope. My advice to you little flock is: “As God’s dear children, then, take Him as your pattern, and follow Christ by loving as He loved you, giving Himself up for us” (Ephesians 5:1-2).
God bless you and keep you from all evil.
Louis Raphael Sako
